The USA Baseball 12U National Team Open Development Program will feature a series of camps around the country for 12U (born in 2006) aged athletes. These camps will place an emphasis on identifying players for the 12U National Team while also promoting player development and will serve to deliver Team USA training techniques to aspiring national team players from coast to coast. Athletes will also be offered a unique training opportunity with a curriculum developed by former and current National Team staff.

To deliver this National Team and player development program on an unprecedented scale, USA Baseball has partnered with respected members from a variety of sections of the amateur baseball community. Open Development Camps will take place throughout the spring on a local level aimed at providing families with unprecedented access to Team USA.

USA Baseball’s 12U National Team had another successful year, bringing home a gold medal from the 2017 World Baseball Softball Confedferation (WBSC) U-12 Baseball World Cup in Tainan, Taiwan. The 2018 12U National Team selection process will begin in February with the Open Development camps that will serve as phase one in identifying players for the 2018 12U National Team.
